Frontispiece of John Hancock. Lovely Illustrations to accompany the alphabet. Engraving of John Rogers, burnt at the stake. A serviceable copy of an early edition of a famous American schoolbook. The first was printed in the 1680's and is quite rare. The New England Primer was the first reading primer designed for the American Colonies.
